Euro Cylinder locks range in security functionalities and can be purchased for anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-pick purposes. They operate through rotation, which moves the bolt, tumblers and pins. When a key is inserted into the lock, it lifts and aligns the pins which in-turn releases the cylinder to rotate for locking and unlocking purposes.
The Euro Cylinder lock comes available with a varying level of pins, the most common being the 5 pin Euro Cylinder lock. The higher the level of pins, the more security it offers.
